Local Regulations
SFHA Admissions and Occupancy Policies: These are local policies that the Housing Authority has implemented in accordance with federal and state regulations.  This document provides clarity on the SFHA's policies on areas where federal law is silent or allows for flexibility. 
CA Health and Safety Code (Division 24, Part 2, Chapter 1/ Section 34200-34380):
This governs the organization and structure of the Housing Authority.
SF Police Code (non-discrimination in housing)

Federal Regulations
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)Chapter 24-Part 960: These are the overaching Federal regulations legislated by Congress. Any local or federal laws muct be consistent with the CFR. Click here to see the index. 

Public Housing Occupancy Handbook: (7465.1) June 2003. These are the HUD guidelines for public housing based on the CFR.  The Guide is divided into seven parts: (1) Civil Rights; (2) Admissions; (3) Public Housing Income and Program Rents; (4) Continued Occupancy; (5) Public Housing Leases; (6) Grievance Procedures; and (7) Domestic Violence. The guidebook also contains appendices of sample policies and forms. This and other HUD Handbooks are available for download here.
